Project 2: Live brief-Parkinson's Equip

This is our second project of second year so far. This is a live brief to make awareness of a new charity called Parkinson's Equip, charity number 1150802. I was lucky enough to meet Ray Wegrzyn, (Chair of Parkinson's Equip). He came in to university to explain his condition and others within his group and make us understand it a little more so we could get a real feel to the project. He also has a published book about the disease and people with it who have wrote poems about the horrible condition. The book is called, 'Chapter and illuminating verse'. Artwork inside the book is by Ghislaine Howard who's mother has the disease also. Apart from promoting the charity, we are also illustrating the poem's from his book and then produce our own publication which will be sold at an event night we are organising. Along with the publication we will be holding an auction to sell our original images to raise funds for Parkinson's Equip. There will be prints too to buy. We must do every single stage of this publication from raising money to produce it, to holding the event night. The team i am working with are all capable illustrator's who like myself are honoured to be able to do this project, everybody is attacking it with passion and skill. I just hope we can do Ray proud because he is one of the nicest men i have ever met.
