Project 2. Personal project

Project 2 soon arrived and we had a few options to choose from.
 
     1. Continue with the Macmillan book,
     2. Silent stories- can we tell a child or adult story without words,
     3. Respond to themes by Gaston Bachelard, The Poetics of Space or The Lost Carnival,
     4. Write our own project,
     5. Orion Publishing & Illustration Ltd. Redesign the cover for one of these 3:
                                    - Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder
                                    - Some Kind of Fairy Tale by Graham Joyce
                                    - Best Knickers Always by Rebecca Perkins.

I chose to write my own project.
I have always had a fascination with buildings and their style so I picked the Northern Quarter in Manchester as my area. I basically am showing off the place in as many forms as I can. So off out I went with sketch book at the ready and started to sketch the buildings around there. Here are some of my on site sketches:
